Obituary of Dianne Elizabeth Bannister
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Wife/Mother Dianne Elizabeth Bannister (Dods) on Thursday 15 May 2025, at age 73.
She was the heart of our family, a beacon of love and strength, and a source of endless joy.
Dianne's and Jeff's love story was a testament to the power of enduring companionship.
Their 45 years together were filled with laughter, shared adventures, and unwavering support for each other.
Dianne was a woman of constant devotion to her husband, family, and friends. She touched the lives of many with her kindness and generosity, always finding time for those in need.
She was a compassionate listener, and a true friend to all. She taught us the importance of kindness, perseverance, and the power of family. We will forever cherish her warm hugs, her infectious laughter, and the countless lessons she shared with us.
She is survived by her loving husband Jeff, her daughter Terri, and her grandchildren Jazlynn Bannister-Gauthier, Damien Medeiros, and Desiree Medeiros.
Predeceased by her father Robert Dods, mother Norah Dods, brother Robert Dods (Shirley), and Aunt Betty Dods.
Cremation has already taken place, with a Celebration of Life to be announced at a later date.
Special thanks go out to the staff at the renal clinic, North Bay Regional Hospital, and to Dr. James Vigars for his decades of compassionate care to Dianne, and to the Nipissing serenity Hospice for the care and compassion rendered in her final days.
