Obituary of Perriece Marsh
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our Mother, Perriece (Perry) Marsh who passed away on April 8, 2025 in her 100th year.
Mum had a full, and busy life. While raising six children, she also volunteered at a home for special care for babies, and was a foster mother to two babies in Hamilton, Ontario. There wasn’t a stray cat or dog in the neighborhood that didn’t have her number. Before moving to North Bay, she obtained a license from the government and opened up their home to people with special needs. She soon earned a name for herself and her Home for Special Care. There was never an open room for very long. She carried that license with her to North Bay where she worked well into her seventies, before deciding to retire.
Mum loved her family, and we all sure loved her. She will finally reunite with her loving husband of 72 years, James Thomas (Jim) Marsh.
Mum will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered by her six children: Richard (Candice), Pamela (Donald), Ronald (Suzanne), Colleen (Peter), Karl and Barbara (Richard), as well as her nine grandchildren: Scott, Allison, Erika, Darryl, Sherry, Michael, Laurice, Craig and Ryan and her eight great-grandchildren, Aliya, Ashton, Destiny, Gregory, Luke, Lauren, Gigi and Eddie. She is predeceased by her brothers Len Cowan and Tim (aka Doug) Marshall as well as her sister Shirly Glover (nee Cowan) and her mother, Tillie Marshall (nee McQuain). We know she will always be with us in our hearts, but we will never stop missing her.
Until we meet again.
A celebration of her life will be held at a future date.
