In Loving Memory of Omer Joseph Lionel Seguin

July 12, 1925– March 26, 2025

It is with heartfelt sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Omer Joseph Lionel Seguin on March 26, 2025, at Nipissing Manor in his 100th year. A devoted father, Omer leaves behind his cherished daughters: Janet Wilson (Gary) and Nancy Parker, along with daughter-in-law, Dianne Seguin. He was predeceased by his loving wife, Audrey (nee Colley), his sons Terry and Robbie, son-in-law Geoff Parker, and great-grandson Zayd.

Omer was a proud grandpa to Shellbie, Melissa (Mike), Jason (Cindy), Ian (Jessica), Kara (Richard), and Troy (Ashley). His legacy will continue through his great-grandchildren: Liberty, Berkley, Lerynne, Braxton, Dakota, Hayden, Robbie, Casey, and Crew, and his great-great-granddaughter, Violet and friend Zac.

He was also predeceased by his parents, Odilon and Alphosine, and siblings Dorae, Bernie, Len, and Raymond.

 Omer dedicated over 28 years of his life to serving as a heavy equipment operator for the township of North Himsworth. Additionally, he owned and operated Seguin Beach Trailer Park on the south shore of Lake Nipissing for many years, a place that brought him immense joy and treasured family memories.

Omer's love for his family was boundless, and he cherished spending time with them at the lake. A deeply devoted man, he held strong faith in the Lord and was an active member of the South Shore Evangelical Missionary Church for many years.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Nipissing Manor Nursing Care Centre for their kind and loving care during Omer's time there. Their compassion and dedication made a significant difference in his life, providing comfort and support that was deeply appreciated.

A visitation to honour Omer’s life will be held on Saturday, May 10, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the South Shore Evangelical Missionary Church, followed by a Funeral Service at 11:00 AM.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) or SickKids Children’s Hospital.
