Laurel (Laurie) Hammill (Scott), beloved daughter of Arthur and Mavis Scott, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, March 3rd, 2025. Laurie was the devoted wife of the late Ted Hammill for 46 wonderful years. She was a loving mother to Scott (Stephanie) and Alexander (Sandy) (Tara), and a cherished Nanna to Izabella, Sophie, Brodi, and Saige.
Laurie is survived by her father Arthur Scott, her Sister (best friend and travel companion) Sally O’Halloran (Sean), and her brother Doug. She was preceded in death by her brother Clifford Scott.
Laurie had a passion for gardening, home renovation projects, and, most of all, spending quality time with her family. She was always on the go, constantly finding new projects to keep herself busy and her hands occupied. Whether it was tending to her beautiful garden, embarking on a new home improvement endeavor, or planning her next vacation. Laurie’s energy and enthusiasm were boundless.
Her love and dedication to her family and friends will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Laurie’s vibrant spirit and unwavering commitment to those she loved will forever remain in our hearts.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to North Bay Shriners or a charity of your choice.
