Obituary of Jean Lillian Mitchell

On Sunday March 2, 2025, at 84 years of age. Predeceased by her Husband Peter in 1991. Loving mother of Laurie Sparr (Douglas) of Ohio and Kathy Chayer of North Bay. Survived by her sister Loreene Simpson (David) of Peterborough. Jean had a long career in the restaurant and hospitality industry. She sang with the Trinity United Church choir as well as the Military Wives’ Choir and she was a long-time occupant of the Trinity Church kitchen-- keeping dozens of kids and leaders fed at the church's summer vacation Bible camp every day! She was also the long-time assistant to Wanda as the assistant church office administrator and even worked for some time as the church's security person! (Don't mess with Jean!). Jean served as a church trustee and was an Honourary Elder of Trinity United Church. She delivered food for “Meals on Wheels”, she was a great fan of the North Bay Battalion, and of spotting beautiful red winter cardinals. Her funeral service will be held at Trinity United Church at 11am on Friday March 7th, with a time of refreshments and fellowship to follow.
