Marc Gerald Valentine Obituary

Marc Gerald Valentine, formerly of Hardy St., North Bay, passed away on Thursday, February 20, 2025, at the Nipissing Serenity Hospice, North Bay, ON, at the age of 58. Born in Bathurst, NB, he was the son of the late Vincent Vernon and Dorina (Martel) Valentine. Marc was a certified mechanic. While in New Brunswick, Marc served in the Canadian Armed Forces, before relocating with his wife and daughter to North Bay in the summer of 2000. He worked for a number of years at True-Centre Auto Service, before a stint with the SNC-Lavalin Group in Saudi Arabia. Marc was a quiet, easy-going, goofy man who loved to play guitar and to read thrillers. He is survived by one daughter, Emma Thornton (Zack) of Paisley, ON, and one grandson, Wesley; brother, Peter Valentine (Trudy) of Halifax, NS; sister, Gloria Tocher (Mark) of Virginia Beach, USA; one niece and one nephew. There will be no visitation or funeral at the funeral home. A small funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 8, 2025 at 11 a.m. at the Paisley Missionary Church, Paisley, ON, Pastor Zack Thornton officiating.
