Born in North Bay, Ontario, Michelina is the daughter of Barbara and Giacinto (Jim) Castrilli. She graduated from West Ferris Secondary School and went on to post secondary studies in business at Fanshawe College in London and York University in Toronto. Michelina married Blake Beam in February of 1989 and by Christmas of the same year they returned to North Bay to live. Michelina joined the staff of Martyn Funeral Home as Office Administrator in April of 1997. She and Blake have three children, two sons and a daughter, and she is often busy shuttling them around to theatre practice, soccer, baseball, or dance. Michelina also holds the position of Trustee with the Near North District School Board.  She volunteers with Dreamcoat Fantasy Theatre, a charitable organization that provides musical theatre experience for children and families of North Bay and area, and currently serves as Executive Director of the company. Michelina and her family attend Trinity United Church where she also volunteers some time to teach Sunday school. Any leftover hours she may have in a week are spent sailing with her family, reading, or playing volleyball.
