Please share a memory of John to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Horton, John

Suddenly on his 79th birthday, Dad/Poppa took his last breathe.  He loved his life like no other man.  His love for his family was one of a kind.  Dad/Poppa has never been able to recover since the loss of his one true love (Faye/Nanny).  Now he can finally sleep, because he will be with her. (whether she was ready for him or NOT!) Our dad leaves us to carry on his strong family commitment with the following John was the beloved husband of late Norma “Faye” Horton (nee Germyn). He was cherished greatly by his children Karen (Leonard Hummel), Jackie (David Barber), and Todd (Claudette). He will be greatly missed by his grandchildren Bradley Hummel, Tyler Hummel, Ashley (Skyler McGuinty), Sam Barber, Katie Barber (fiancé Michael Carr), Kennedy Horton, Celeste (Brody Wanner), and Tanya (Pietro Carello), as well as his great grandchildren Harley, Mollie, Brynn, and Ruby.  Sadly missed by his sister in law LuAnn Horton-Murad (George Murad) and nephew Billy Horton.  John is predeceased by his brother Bill Horton.  Respecting John’s wishes cremation has taken place at Forest Lawn Crematorium.  Family will receive friends at the MARTYN FUNERAL HOME on Friday, April 27, 2018 from 11 a.m. until the time of the memorial service at 1:00 p.m.  If desired, donations to Nipissing Serenity Hospice would be greatly appreciated.
