Whalley, Dennis It its with great sadness, the family announces the passing of Dennis Alvin Whalley, while in his 71st year. Predeceased by his beloved wife, Linda Whalley (nee Kelly). Lovingly remembered by his sons, Larry and Denzil Whalley. Proud and cherished grandfather of, Colby, Shanel, Venessa, Corey, and Nicholas. Dennis also will be sadly missed by Wilfred Davis, Jeremy Maxwell, Joanne Bouchard, Chantel Vincent as well as his siblings Harry (Gladys), Ida Wall (Bud deceased), Evelyn Beckett (Robert deceased), Dorreen Beckett (Orvil deceased), Lila Simpson-McGunnigle (Rene deceased) Phyllis Whalley (Lester Gauthier deceased), Ruth McMaster (Edward deceased) Kathy McAran (Peter deceased), Ron (Christine), Joan Mechefske (Keith), Deb Lacelle (Wayne), & Walter (Linda divorced). He will always be remembered as a "tough as nails" man, for his years of dedication as a truck driver, and his profound love and excellence at picking a tune. His most cherished years were those when he was called "Popa". We love you forever Popa! Family will receive friends at the Martyn & Sloan “Mattawa Chapel” on Friday, November 17, 2017 from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. Reception to follow at the Calvin Township Hall. If desired, donations to the Calvin Fire Department would be gratefully acknowledged as expressions of sympathy.
