Obituary for Mildred Grace "Millie" Elliott
ELLIOTT – Millie
After several months of declining health Millie died peacefully at the North Bay Regional Health Center, early Monday morning, February 26, 2018, while in her 82nd year. Mildred Grace “Millie” was born and raised in Trout Creek, the youngest daughter of the late Calvin & Bertha Elliott. She was predeceased by all of her siblings, Audrey, Hilburn & his wife Mary, Elvin & his wife Lois, & Arlene & her husband Bob Sheriff. Aunt Mille was loved by all of her nieces and nephews and their families, and will be especially missed by her nephew Kirk and his wife Sue, their daughters Shauna (Nathan) and Ashley, and her nephew Elvin Jr. and his wife Cheryl. Mille was a former employee of Ontario Hydro, retiring from the North Eastern Regional Office in 1993. In her younger years she played the piano, curled, and cross country skied. A private person, she was an avid reader and excellent cook. A devoted daughter she lovingly cared for and supported her parents during their final years. Friends may call at the Martyn Funeral Home on Saturday from 11:00am, with a funeral service to be held in the chapel at 1:00pm. Spring interment in the family plot, Trout Creek Union Cemetery. We offer our sincerest thanks to the staff of the North Bay Regional Health Center for their compassionate care during Millie’s many visits this past year. We are especially grateful to Dr. Terry Rotondo who has cared for and supported her during these difficult times. Millie loved children. If you would like to honour her memory with a memorial donation please consider the Children’s Wish Foundation, or your favourite children’s charity. Online condolences at www.martynfh.com.
